The Journey

To briefly introduce you to our venture and vision — We believe in facilitating the adoption of advanced gadgets by a wider section of society and also handling of these used devices in an environmentally friendly manner. We aspire to define a new space of online commerce i.e. ReCommerce (Reverse Commerce). We enable users to part with their used gadgets in a socially and environmentally responsible manner by providing them a convenient and reliable service which also offers value. Our users can value and sell their used gadgets instantly and directly to us. These devices are then resold through various channels. We also facilitate the monetization of the same and thereafter donate the proceeds to charitable causes. This is a multi-billion dollar industry, primarily unorganised, which we are organizing.

The Crew

Budli.in, founded in 2013 and have been steadily defining the ReCommerce space in India. We have grown to a small but strong team, with a rich collective experience in various business domains and functions. We have been fortunate to have been recognised for our work across various media channels like BBC World, Fortune Magazine, Mint, etc. (featured on our home page). Having started our operations in Kolkata, we have now set up our operations base in Bangalore. We have also won numerous awards such as Startup of the Year & Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year.

Take-off Preparation

With this solid platform, we are now at the stage where we foresee rapid growth and expansion of our operations. To help us scale and build the game-changing platform comprising of myriad technology and process integrations, we need team-members with some very exceptional talent such as great UI Designers, UI Developers, Web Developers (PHP), Sales Controller, Digital Marketing and Customer Service personnel.

For those who have the depth and insight shall realise that this is not something for the short-term and nor for the weak-kneed but a journey that shall drive the core of an online venture and each team member shall reap the long-term benefits which shall go way beyond pay-cheques. To dig into the crude details about who qualifies and how one can become a team member, read on. On a cautionary note — Only the best shall make the grade and freshers may apply only if they have the wherewithal to rapidly learn and compete with the best.

The Interview Process

  • Let's talk — We discuss and help understand if we are a good match. This could prove very crucial as a candid discussion at an early stage may just set the ball rolling in the right direction or help end the process long before a lot of time is wasted on either side.
  • Walk the talk — Don't just tell us what you are good at, show us by doing it. If you are a developer, show us your code. If you are a designer, you may have to design a mock up.
  • The rendezvous — We bring you in and throw a series of assignments at you that shall challenge your neurons.
  • Break the suspense — The process is lengthy and could be taxing even though we try to make it as smooth as possible.

Sales Controller

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage Offline (B2B, Dealers, etc.) & Online Sales (Marketplaces) for Used gadgets.
  • Follow-up with customers
  • Coordination with various teams
  • Update status & reports
  • Collate leads from online and offline sources
  • Required to develop various Sales channels.

Job Requirements

  • First and foremost — A People Person!!
  • Minimum 3 years experience preferably in Hardware Sales (B2B or B2C) of Consumer Electronics
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Patient listener, Energetic, Courteous mannerism
  • Creative thinking & Quick thinking
  • Interpersonal Skills & Basic computer operating skills

Qualifications & Requirements

  • At least 3 to 5 years hands-on experience in PHP / MySQL / LAMP / WAMP project development
  • Excellent working knowledge of PHP, OOPS, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, etc.
  • Experience of open-source frameworks like Cake-PHP, CodeIgniter, Magento, Wordpress, Laravel will be preferred
