Oppo Find X Vs iPhone 8: Everything You Need to Know

The smartphone industry has already got cutthroat competition regarding its flagships, adding to this competition Oppo will introduce its new flagship – Find X. With Find X, Oppo is all set to give a tough fight to its competitors – Apple, Samsung and OnePlus. This post will show you a comparison between Oppo’s latest Find X and Apple’s most loved iPhone 8. iPhone 8 has been sustaining the competition throughout and has maintained its stack. But will it be able to win the fight against Find X? Let us find out.

The most significant difference you would find among Find X and iPhone 8 is that Oppo’s Find X has completely gotten rid of the display notch. It also comes with a motorised slider which has the camera, this indeed helps in reducing the bezel size. Oppo has also introduced the Face unlock with O-Face Recognition technology which uses 15,000 dot projection for facial scanning and 3D structured light. This facial recognition is claimed to be 20 times safer than fingerprint recognition.

On the other hand, Apple has not done any experiments with iPhone 8 and it remains much similar to its predecessors in terms of the design language. It has a metal and glass body and the device operates in 2 variants- 64GB and 256GB. They also possess the capability of wireless charging and much more.

Now let us compare the pricing of both the devices. Oppo has priced Find X at Rs 59,990 for the 8 GB RAM and 256GB inbuilt storage variant. It will be available in two colour variants namely Bordeaux Red and Ice Blue colour. The iPhone 8 is priced at Rs. 64,000 for the 64GB variant and Rs. 77,000 for the 256GB storage.

ColorOS 5.1 is the operating system in Find X and is based on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. It has a 6.42 inch full HD AMOLED screen with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 1080X2340 pixel resolution. The screen to body ratio is 93.8 and has a brightness of 430 nits with a pixel density of 401 ppi. This device is powered by the 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC along with an Adreno 630 GPU and 8GB of RAM. Find X has the dual camera setup on the back. The secondary camera has a 20-megapixel lens and the primary camera has a 16-megapixel lens, both of them have   f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and LED flash. On the front, the device has a 25 megapixel ‘AI 3D’ camera. Both the front and back modules are hidden under the motorised slider that opens and closes whenever the camera app is triggered. The India variant of this device has a 3730mAh battery with VOOC fast charging.

iPhone 8, on the other hand, was much similar to the iPhone 7 as it retained the same form factor and design. But there were a few prominent changes, one of them being the colour options, iPhone 8 is available in gold, silver and space grey. The display was also better on iPhone 8 which added to the 25 percent louder speakers to provide a better experience. The most significant change is that it had a glass front n back.  The iPhone 8 also supports Qi wireless inductive charging, allowing people to charge the iPhone without having to plug in a cable again.
