5 Myths About Smartphones Exposed!

We are surrounded by the world which has rumours spreading faster than the actual news. In the same manner, there are many myths about smartphones that people still believe to be true. Here we are going to bust a few of the myths about smartphones.

Myth 1: iPhone will work faster when all the apps are shut down.

The apps that you open recently need not be closed every time from the background as well. People often tend to do that just hoping that it will make their device faster. The recently opened apps will be running in the background and will be stored in the RAM so that they can be opened or accessed easily when you try to open them the next time. The phone will use the system resources when you open other apps or services. If the system does not find sufficient resources then it will automatically close the not so recently used apps which are running in the background and then open the apps that you have requested for recently.

Myth 2: Task killer makes Android device faster

Just like closing the apps that run in the background does not help you phone speed, task killing does not do any good too. It works on the same principle as stated above. But you can kill the apps only when start to behave strangely in the background. If you keep killing the apps in the background, it will only make your Android device slower.

Myth 3: Screen protection is must

As soon as you buy a new smartphone you will tend to apply a screen protection to your device just as an attempt to make it even more secure in terms of handling. The new age smartphone do not need a screen protection until unless you are a rough user. The latest smartphones come with gorilla glass protection which makes them resistant to drops and scratches.

Myth 4: More Megapixel; Better Camera

People often judge the smartphone’s camera by looking at the Megapixels stated in the phones specifications. That’s not all. The megapixel count is just a specification. The images quality differs from the sensors used in the devices. The better the sensors in the smartphone, the better the image quality.

Myth 5: Android phone has more virus and malware

We keep hearing this a lot, don’t we? Well, that’s all wrong. Android is as safe as any other smartphone as long as you are using it in the way it is meant to be. The apps that are downloaded from the Google Play store are safe and do not contain any virus or malware and will not hurt your device. The problem os virus and malware comes into light when you are downloading apps from 3rd party websites and installing them on your device. As long you are not using any pirated apps on your Android phone it is safe.
